About

The skills that have made the Headcase brand what it is today have been developed over many years of case making for instruments. The business is run by Gary Sparkes who worked as a case maker for six years before becoming the owner in 2002 and developing the range of stylish cases you now see.

He started by working with the previous owner when he was making cello cases in fibre glass for one trade outlet. He has now developed many types of case shells in his career and is still involved in some more unusual projects.

Headcase is proving to be the choice more and more musicians are now making to protect vaulable instrument for which many depend on for their income and travelling from place to place or even continent to continent is the norm.

The cases make life easier. Being both lightweight and contemporary in style, they have been designed for musicians who want the best protection available whilst meeting with all of the demands placed upon the case when touring or gigging.

Above all Headcase listens to our customers. We can line the interior of a case to a customers requirements. Extra handles can be added, equally less can be put on the cases to suit. There are have a range of colours for the internal fabric and a large range for the external finish.

The cases were designed after lots of research by asking cellists or bassists about all of the problems they have while travelling with their instruments and what they wanted and needed the ideal case to be like.

We considered everything we heard on style, usability, durability and most of all security, and now our cases cater for both ends of the market with a high specification case. With quality put first, we have priced our cases as reasonably as we can, which with the carbon fibre cases brings this advanced composite technology within the reach of more musicians than ever before.
